ROA Woodburn Youth Group
The ROA Woodburn Youth Group runs a bike maintenance workshop in the basement of the Dalkeith Community Centre. This workshop is staffed by the young people from the Youth Group and is open friday afternoons, from 2.00-4.00pm for people aged 6-19 years old.
The Woodburn Youth Group has also undertaken a project to research bike/ skate parks and is currently applying for funding, with the suppport of Midlothian Council, to build a bike/ skate park facility at Cowden Park, Woodburn by March 2008.
Other activities include a sponsored cycle, first aid training and 'Build Your Own Bike' in partnership with the Bike Station, Edinburgh.
The project is run by Jenny Gentle and Mandy Ewing, who are employed by the Dalkeith Community Association, with support from Dalkeith Community Learning and Development. The project works in partnership with other groups based in the Community Centre.
